– This ELISA test is a qualitative serological assay for the detection of Barley yellow dwarf virus-MAV (BYDV-MAV), one of the causal agents of Barley yellow dwarf disease, in cereal leaves and roots as well as aphids. BYDV-MAV is a member of the Luteovirus genus known for their non-enveloped, spherical-shaped virus particles. This virus is phloem limited and special care should be used during extraction.
