– XL44, as an hRpn13 binder, triggers hRpn13-dependent apoptosis and limits cell viability via a PCLAF-dependent mechanism. It causes ubiquitin-dependent degradation of hRpn13 Pru and ubiquitin-independent degradation of specific KEN box-containing proteins [1].
