– 1,2-Dihexanoyl-sn-glycerol is an analog of diacylglycerol (DAG), the second messenger that activates protein kinase C (PKC). Although the biological activity of 1,2-dihexanoyl-sn-glycerol has not been well characterized, it is expected to be similar to that of 1,2-dioctanoyl-sn-glycerol.
