– Tizoxanide (Desacetyl-nitazoxanide) is a metabolite of lamivudine. Lamivudine (2′, 3′-dideoxy-3′-thiacytidine, commonly called 3TC) is a potent nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitor (nRTI).
