Product Description
– C16G2 is a Specific Targeted Antimicrobial Peptide (STAMP) that selectively targets the cariogenic oral pathogen Streptococcus mutans. This compound operates by recognizing and disrupting the bacterial cell membrane, leading to small molecule leakage and the loss of membrane potential, which results in bacterial death. Unlike broad-spectrum antimicrobial peptides, C16G2 exhibits higher selectivity and efficacy against Streptococcus mutans.
