– Dexamethasone acetate monohydrate is an adrenocortical steroid. It is used in the treatment of many conditions, including rheumatic problems, a number of skin diseases, asthma, severe allergies, chronic obstructive lung disease, brain swelling, croup, and antibiotics in tuberculosis.
