– Mono(2-ethyl-5-hydroxyhexyl) phthalate is an oxidative metabolite of Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP). It may offer protection against DNA damage in sperm. DEHP is a primary plasticizer added to rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to enhance properties such as flexibility, temperature resistance, optical clarity, strength, and kink resistance.
