– Cenderitide, a natriuretic peptide (NP) that combines C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) with the C-terminus of Dendroaspis natriuretic peptide (DNP), serves as a potent agonist of the particulate guanylyl cyclase receptor (pGC). By activating both pGC-A and pGC-B receptors, it stimulates the production of the second messenger cGMP, suppresses aldosterone, and maintains glomerular filtration rate (GFR) without affecting blood pressure.
