Product Description
– Torvoside C (Torvoside K) is a compound found in Solanum torvum with antifungal properties. It exhibits a zone of inhibition (ZOI) and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) range of 33.4-87.4% and 31.25-250 μg/mL, respectively, against tested fungi such as Alternaria brassicicola, Alternaria geophila, and Aspergillus flavus. Additionally, Torvoside C inhibits the production of mycotoxins aflatoxin B1 and fumonisin B1 in a dose-dependent manner, particularly in A. flavus and F. verticillioides. This compound is applicable in antifungal infection research.
