– SP3N acts as a specific degrader of the prolyl isomerase FKBP12, converting through amine oxidase metabolism into the active aldehyde precursor (SP3CHO). This compound subsequently recruits the SCFFBXO22 E3 ligase to mediate the degradation of FKBP12. SP3N is employed in research for cancer therapy.
