– Tenuazonic acid is a putative nonhost-selective mycotoxin isolated from Alternaria alternate. Tenuazonic acid blocks electron transport beyond primary quinone acceptor (QA) by interacting with D1 protein and it is a broad-spectrum and effective photosystem II (PSII) inhibitor.
