– Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid trisodium salt (EDTA trisodium salt) can be used in chelation therapy. EDTA trisodium salt is used to bind metal ions for research on mercury and lead poisoning. It can also remove excess iron from the body and is also used for research on thalassemia.
