(+)-Columbianetin has anti-inflammatory effects, it promotes histamine release, and inhibits the histamine release by substance P, suggests that it may be helpful in regulating mast cell-mediated allergic inflammatory responses. (+)-Columbianetin can be effectively used to protect keratinocytes from UVB induced damage.
