Product Description
– Bathophenanthrolinedisulfonic acid disodium salt (BPS) is a colorimetric reagent for detecting iron ions with a measurement wavelength of 535 nm. It is suitable for iron determination in aqueous systems without the need for solvent extraction. Additionally, BPS can be used to prepare Europium(III) bis(meso-phenanthroline disulfonate) and ruthenium(II) tris(meso-phenanthroline disulfonate) complexes or to form water-soluble complexes with palladium for the catalytic oxidation of 2-hexanol.
