– Didocosahexaenoin, an omega-3 derivative and diglyceride of DHA synthesized from DHA triglycerides, significantly decreases mitochondrial membrane potential and stimulates ROS (reactive oxygen species) production. It induces apoptosis and exhibits stronger cytotoxic effects on human prostate carcinoma cells compared to DHA [1].
