This compound is linked to the mitigation of neurological disorders, including retinitis pigmentosa and cataracts (PHARC), by depleting lyso-PS in lymphoblasts from affected individuals. Moreover, (Z)-KC02 diminishes lyso-PS levels and lipopolysaccharide-induced cytokine production in macrophages and influences lyso-PS metabolism in vivo [1].
