– (Z)-Ganoderenic acid D, the Z-isomer of Ganoderenic acid D, is a triterpenoid isolated from Ganoderma. This compound contributes to the bitterness of basidiomata and extracts of Ganoderma species. Furthermore, Ganoderenic acid D inhibits cancer cell proliferation by inducing cell cycle arrest and apoptosis (apoptosis).
