– Vasicinol (6-Hydroxypeganine), a pyrroloquinazoline alkaloid isolated from Adhatoda vasica (L.), Nees, is a sucrase inhibitor that inhibits the sucrose hydrolyzing activity of rat intestinal α-glucosidase, with a Ki value of 183 μM.Vasicinol is a HbF inducer. Vasicinol is an HbF inducer and can be used to study metabolic disorders and diabetes.
