– TargetMol’s High-Affinity Iodoacetyl Agarose consists of an iodoacetic acid derivative covalently attached to a 4% cross-linked agarose matrix. It binds efficiently and conveniently to sulfhydryl-containing peptides, proteins, or other biological ligands, forming stable mercaptoether bonds through the reaction of the sulfhydryl group with the iodoacetic acid moiety, allowing for ligand immobilisation and subsequent affinity purification. More than 1 mg of sulfhydryl-containing 7-amino acid peptides can be immobilised per ml of agarose.
