– AEC5 is a lipopeptide compound with antifungal properties effective against Cryptococcus neoformans infections. At its minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 6.3 μg/mL against Cryptococcus neoformans, AEC5 displays no significant cytotoxicity to human lung, liver, or red blood cells.
