Product Description
– (9E)-Tetradecen-1-ol, secreted from the abdomen of the female Bertha armyworm moth (Mamestra configurata (Walker)), acts as a pheromone but shows no significant sexual attraction when used alone. It is typically isolated from tip extracts. Concurrently, another pheromone, (Z)-11-hexadecen-1-ol, was isolated. These pheromones, when mixed, effectively attract males, particularly in an optimal ratio of approximately 19:1 (C16:C14).
