This compound is capable of undergoing copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions (CuAAc) with molecules containing alkyne groups. Additionally, it can participate in strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions (SPAAC) with compounds that have DBCO or BCN groups.
