Hydroxypyruvic acid lithium hydrate is a substrate for serine-pyruvate aminotransferase and glyoxylate reductase/hydroxypyruvate reductase. Hydroxypyruvic acid lithium hydrate is involved in the metabolic disorder which is the dimethylglycine dehydrogenase deficiency pathway.
