– beta-1,3-Galactosyltransferase (CgtB) (GM1-synthase) is an enzyme that required for sialylated lipooligosaccharide (LOSSIAL) production, is often used in biochemical studies. beta-1,3-Galactosyltransferase (CgtB) catalyzes the addition of a galactose molecule, which is required for GM1-like LOSSIAL structure production[1].
